About us

The Beacon Project Charlbury is a self-build housing group based in Charlbury, West Oxfordshire. We are a community not-for-profit organization formed by members of the Charlbury community who would like to see sustainable development in our town, but with an emphasis on high quality environmental design, and self-building.

The Beacon Project aims to make positive steps towards keeping Charlbury a vibrant and mixed community into the future, whilst at the same time furthering the town's reputation for concern with the environment and community-building.

Beacon Project Charlbury is currently part of the Rushy Bank Partnership, a local development partnership formed to create proposals for the development of a site (Rushy Bank) adjacent to the industrial area to the west of the train station in Charlbury.
